Production Supervisor

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be exclusively partnered with a well-established manufacturing business in Doncaster to recruit a Paint Supervisor to lead its paint-line operation and a team of approximately 10 employees.This is a hands-on leadership position rather than a desk-based role. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the paint department, ensuring the line operates safely, efficiently and consistently delivers the required quality standards.Alongside your leadership experience, you must have previous experience working with industrial paint, coating or anodising processes. You’ll understand the importance of process control, surface preparation, quality standards and maintaining consistent finishes within a production environment.Working hours: 8am–4pm, Monday to FridaySalary: £35,000–£42,000Duties of the Paint Supervisor will include:Taking full ownership of the day-to-day operation and performance of the paint lineLeading a team of approximately 10, including shift leaders, operators and quality control employeesCoaching, developing and motivating the team to create an engaged and accountable cultureManaging production plans to ensure output, quality, cost and delivery targets are achievedOverseeing paint and coating processes to ensure products meet the required finish and quality standardsMaintaining effective process controls across areas such as preparation, application, curing and inspectionInvestigating paint defects, quality concerns and production issues, implementing corrective actions where requiredMonitoring productivity, downtime, scrap, rework and cost, and driving improvements against these measuresWorking closely with maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise line downtimeEnsuring paint materials, chemicals and consumables are managed safely and effectivelyMaintaining full compliance with health, safety and environmental requirementsPromoting continuous improvement across the departmentWe're keen to speak with Paint Supervisors with the below skills & experience:Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environmentEssential experience of industrial paint, coating or anodising processesA good understanding of process control, surface preparation and coating quality standardsStrong people-management skills, with experience coaching and developing production teamsThe ability to identify and resolve process, quality and operational issuesGood knowledge of production planning and performance managementExcellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesA proactive, visible and hands-on leadership styleA genuine interest in continuous improvement, safety and operational performanceThis role is commutable from:Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, Retford, Worksop, Goole and Scunthorpe.Suitable candidates may previously have held roles such as:Paint Line Manager, Paint Shop Manager, Production Manager, Coatings Manager, Anodising Manager, Finishing Manager, Production Supervisor, Paint Shop Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or Operations Supervisor.For more details, reach out to Emma Bartholomew at Elevation Recruitment Group directly.
