Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee daily manufacturing activities for a defined value stream, balancing quality, safety, productivity, and team engagement to deliver strong operational results.You will work closely with front-line employees and cross-functional partners across supply chain, engineering, safety, and manufacturing support. • Modern, climate-controlled manufacturing facility and a culture focused on long-term career stabilityYour ResponsibilitiesYou’ll lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, balancing quality, cost, productivity, safety, and morale.In this role, you’ll supervise and support a team of 20-40 hourly employees, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.You’ll manage staffing, time and attendance, performance metrics, and provide regular updates to leadership and peers.You’ll drive continuous improvement by analyzing quality issues, scrap, rework, and inventory discrepancies, then leading corrective actions.You’ll foster strong employee relations through coaching, feedback, performance evaluations, and development planning.You’ll ensure safety and environmental compliance, lead incident investigations, support JHSC activities, and maintain 6S standards.Skills and Qualifications4+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years leading an hourly workforce in a labour intensive assembly environment.High school diploma or GED, with post-secondary technical education considered an asset.Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis methodologies.Proven ability to influence, motivate, and develop teams in a high-paced environment.Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and experience with inventory or planning systems.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Note from the Hiring Manager We are seeking a hands-on leader who genuinely enjoys being present on the production floor and guiding teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
