Employment Type: Full-time### About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on **Production Supervisor – Textiles** to supervise and follow up the complete garment production process on a daily basis.The primary responsibility is to ensure that production moves smoothly from:**Cutting → Stitching → Checking → Finishing → Ironing → Packing**The candidate should be active on the production floor, regularly follow up with workers and departments, identify delays early, and ensure production targets are completed on time with the required quality.### Key Responsibilities* Supervise and follow up **daily garment production from cutting to final packing**.* Track every running style, colour, size, and production lot through each stage.* Follow up with cutting, stitching, checking, finishing, ironing, and packing teams.* Ensure planned production quantities are completed according to daily and weekly targets.* Monitor pending quantities at every production stage.* Identify production delays, bottlenecks, and manpower shortages and immediately follow up for resolution.* Ensure work does not remain pending unnecessarily between departments.* Maintain clear production status for each running order.* Coordinate priorities based on production plans, stock requirements, and urgent orders.* Ensure correct styles, colours, sizes, measurements, and quantities are being produced.* Monitor production quality during each stage instead of waiting until final checking.* Coordinate rework or corrections wherever quality problems are identified.* Ensure finished products are properly checked, packed, counted, and handed over to the warehouse.* Compare planned quantity, produced quantity, rejected quantity, and pending quantity.* Monitor production wastage and help reduce avoidable rework and rejection.### Sampling & New Style Follow-Up* Follow up on **samples and new product developments** when required.* Coordinate cutting, stitching, checking, and finishing of samples.* Ensure sample corrections are completed properly before bulk production.* Understand approved sample requirements before production begins.* Communicate important construction, measurement, and quality requirements to the production team.* Ensure bulk production follows the approved sample.### Production Planning & Follow-Up* Understand daily and weekly production requirements from management.* Allocate priorities to production teams accordingly.* Maintain a simple daily production tracking report.* Keep management updated about completed, pending, and delayed production.* Highlight material shortages or operational problems before they affect production.* Coordinate with stores and warehouse teams for required materials and finished-goods movement.### Worker & Floor Supervision* Supervise workers involved in different production stages.* Allocate work based on production priority and manpower availability.* Follow up continuously until assigned work is completed.* Ensure workers maintain productivity, quality, and discipline.* Maintain proper workflow and cleanliness on the production floor.* Coordinate between departments to avoid idle time and unnecessary waiting.* Escalate recurring productivity or quality issues to management.### Quality Control* Ensure garments meet required standards for: * Measurements * Stitching quality * Fabric quality * Colour * Finishing * Thread trimming * Ironing * Packing* Identify defects early and arrange correction before large quantities are completed.* Reduce rejection, alteration, and rework wherever possible.### Daily Production MonitoringThe Production Supervisor should always know:* What is currently under cutting* What is under stitching* What quantity is pending* What is under checking and finishing* What requires rework* What is ready for packing* What production has been completed* What is delayed and why* What quantity has been handed over to finished stock### Candidate Requirements* **Minimum 2 years and maximum 7 years of relevant experience**.* Experience in garments, knitwear, textiles, production, or manufacturing supervision.* Tirupur garment or knitwear industry experience is strongly preferred.* Good understanding of the garment production process from **cutting to packing**.* Strong production follow-up ability.* Ability to supervise workers and coordinate multiple departments.* Good understanding of garment quality and basic measurement requirements.* Ability to identify production delays and take corrective action.* Basic knowledge of production reports, Excel, or Google Sheets is preferred.* Should be practical, organised, responsible, and comfortable working directly on the production floor.* Tamil communication is essential.### What We Are Looking ForWe need someone who does not simply collect production updates.The Production Supervisor should actively drive the production cycle:**Cutting → Stitching → Checking → Finishing → Packing → Finished Stock**If production is delayed at any stage, the supervisor should identify where it is stuck, follow up with the concerned person, and ensure the work moves forward.Strong **follow-up, floor control, production knowledge, and accountability** are the most important qualities for this role.### Salary**₹16,000 – ₹25,000 per month**Salary will be decided based on textile production experience, garment knowledge, team-handling ability, production follow-up skills, and overall capability.
