The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, repair, testing, and inspection of aerospace components and equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and company procedures. This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.Position and Reporting StructureAs a Production Technician, you will report directly to the Head of Production and will work closely with the Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the timely and efficient execution of production activities in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Receive tools and conduct inspection and ensure functionality as per drawings or technical documentation.Perform load test, repair or preventative maintenance tasks as per technical documentation or as advised by the manager.Assist in the assembly / disassembly of tools for service or new tools at work site or at customer locations as advised by the manager.Ensure that all processes are completed following company standards and safety regulations.Assist in packaging, loading, and unloading of tools or equipment.Communicate with the manager or technical support team when complex issues arise and assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution.Conduct on-site inspections, repair or preventive maintenance tasks as instructed by the reporting manager.Complete all required service reports, inspection logs, and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner in the company ERP / Database.Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts and tools used during service at work site or during on-site visits and report any discrepancies to management.Follow all safety protocols and standards while performing inspections, repairs, maintenance and load testing to ensure a safe working environment for both the technician and the customer.Report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions encountered during service or during on-site visits to the manager.Complete any additional tasks or special assignments as instructed by the manager, including handling urgent service requests or ad-hoc duties as required.Ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and spare parts are properly maintained and available for service calls.Report any equipment failures or shortages to the manager to ensure swift procurement.Ensure that all services are performed with a focus on achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and quality.Handle confidential information with discretion, ensuring it is stored securely and shared only with authorized personnel.Qualifications:Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or aerospace maintenance environment is preferred.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and work instructions.Good understanding of mechanical systems, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.Hands-on experience using mechanical tools, precision measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches), and workshop equipment.Familiarity with production processes, assembly techniques, and quality standards.Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills are an advantage.Forklift, overhead crane, or lifting equipment certification is an advantage.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP or manufacturing systems is an advantage.Good command of written and spoken English.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Ability to work safely in accordance with company policies and occupational health and safety requirements.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work with a leading aerospace company supporting global aviation customers.Hands-on experience with advanced aerospace components, equipment, and manufacturing technologies.Collaborative, safety-focused, and inclusive work environment that values teamwork and continuous improvement.Ongoing training, technical development, and career growth opportunities.Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Be part of a team committed to quality, innovation, and operational excellence.Equal Opportunity EmployerAt DEDIENNE AEROSPACE, we believe that diversity and inclusion are key to driving innovation and success.
