Productivity (Robotics & Automation) Engineer

Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo drive construction productivity improvement through the adoption, implementation, testing, operation, and optimisation of construction robotics, automation systems, mechanized equipment, and innovative construction technologies across project sites.1. Robotics & Automation ImplementationIdentify suitable tasks for robotic/automated deployment.Lead on-site implementation, installation, testing, and commissioning.Monitor performance and ensure smooth integration into site operations.2. Productivity ImprovementConduct productivity studies and propose automation alternatives for manpower-intensive activities.Implement enhancement programmes and measure productivity gains.Prepare reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.3. Technology AssessmentResearch and evaluate emerging robotics and automation technologies.Perform feasibility and cost–benefit analyses for new solutions.Benchmark industry best practices and recommend innovative methods.4. Equipment Management & OptimisationTrack utilisation and performance of robotic/automated equipment.Coordinate maintenance with vendors and troubleshoot operational issues.Optimise deployment strategies and maintain usage records.5. Pilot Projects & Innovation TrialsLead pilot testing of new robotic and automation solutions.Define trial plans, KPIs, and measure operational performance.Document lessons learned and recommend wider deployment where successful.6. Site Operations SupportPartner with Project Managers and site teams on productivity initiatives.Provide technical support and train personnel on robotic equipment.Ensure compliance with project and operational standards.7. Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementLiaise with manufacturers and technology providers.Evaluate proposals, coordinate demos, and manage vendor performance.Maintain relationships with industry partners and research institutions.8. Safety & ComplianceEnsure systems comply with MOM, WSH, and project safety requirements.Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures.Support safety audits related to automation systems.Job RequirementsEducationDegree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.ExperienceFresh Grad are welcome to apply.At least 1-2 years in construction, automation, robotics, mechanisation, or productivity improvement is preferred.Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for Senior or Assistant Manager positions.Experience with construction technology implementation and automated equipment is advantageous.
