Prospective team members can expect a dynamic workplace that values professional growth, integrity, and quality education.Role Description The Professional Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s financial health. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and reconciling bank and ledger accounts. The role also involves monitoring budgets, assisting with financial reporting and audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, and preparing periodic financial summaries for management. The Professional Accountant will collaborate with other departments, provide financial insights to support decision-making, and help improve internal financial processes and controls.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and cash flow monitoring to support planning and performance evaluation.Candidates should possess skills in the use of accounting software and spreadsheets, with the ability to generate accurate reports and maintain organized records.Candidates should possess skills in compliance and auditing, including familiarity with local tax regulations, financial controls, and documentation for internal and external reviews.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ethical judgment, with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and explain financial information clearly.Experience in the education or training sector, or with small to medium-sized organizations, is beneficial.
