Professional Barista Trainer

KOZBEAN is seeking a skilled, professional, and passionate Barista to join our growing coffee business and Barista Academy in Doha.We are looking for someone who not only understands the art and science of specialty coffee but also enjoys sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and inspiring aspiring coffee professionals.The ideal candidate should have strong practical barista skills, excellent communication abilities, a professional attitude, and a genuine enthusiasm for coffee education.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare high-quality espresso-based beverages and specialty coffee using professional equipment.Demonstrate excellent knowledge of espresso extraction, coffee grinding, milk steaming, and latte art.Share practical coffee knowledge and techniques with aspiring baristas during academy sessions.Assist in delivering engaging, hands-on barista training and demonstrations.Educate students about coffee beans, origins, brewing methods, and coffee preparation standards.Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper handling of coffee equipment.Ensure consistency in beverage quality and professional coffee preparation standards.Support coffee tasting, cupping sessions, workshops, and other KOZBEAN activities.Create a welcoming, positive, and professional learning environment.Represent KOZBEAN professionally during academy activities and customer interactions.Qualifications & RequirementsEssential QualificationsMinimum 2 years of professional barista experience, preferably in specialty coffee.Strong practical knowledge of espresso preparation, grinder calibration, milk texturing, and latte art.Good understanding of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and beverage quality standards.Good command of spoken English.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Passion for coffee and a genuine interest in teaching and sharing knowledge.Patient, approachable, confident, and comfortable demonstrating skills to groups.Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)Ability to communicate in Arabic is highly desirable.Previous experience mentoring junior baristas or conducting coffee demonstrations.Specialty coffee experience, including manual brewing methods such as V60 and French Press.Recognized barista training or Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certification.Experience in coffee cupping, sensory evaluation, or coffee education.Previous experience working in Qatar or the GCC.What We ValueAt KOZBEAN, we value professionals who are curious, passionate, and eager to grow.We believe a great barista is not only measured by the quality of coffee they prepare but also by their willingness to share knowledge and inspire others.
