Position: Assistant Professor – Computer ScienceDepartment: Computer Science / Computer Science & EngineeringEmployment Type: Full-timeLocation: BengaluruRole SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and qualified Assistant Professor in Computer Science to join our faculty team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, contributing to research activities, and supporting departmental academic initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering.Prepare course materials, lesson plans, assignments, examinations, and laboratory activities.Mentor and guide students in academic projects, internships, and career development.Conduct and publish research in reputed journals and conferences.Participate in funded research, consultancy, and collaborative projects.Contribute to curriculum development and departmental academic activities.Coordinate laboratories, student clubs, workshops, seminars, and technical events as required.Maintain academic records and comply with institutional quality standards.Participate in accreditation, academic audits, and other institutional responsibilities.Educational QualificationsB.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or a related discipline – Required.M.Tech./M.E. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or a related discipline – Required/Preferred as per institutional norms.Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or a closely related area – Preferred.Candidates should meet the applicable UGC/AICTE and university regulations for the position.Desired Technical ExpertiseCandidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:Artificial Intelligence & Machine LearningData Science & Big Data AnalyticsCloud ComputingCyber SecurityInternet of Things (IoT)Computer NetworksDatabase Management SystemsSoftware EngineeringWeb/Mobile Application DevelopmentDistributed SystemsComputer Vision / Natural Language ProcessingExperienceTeaching experience in a reputed engineering college/university is preferred.Candidates with relevant research publications, patents, funded projects, or industry experience will have an added advantage.Ph.D. graduates with strong academic and research credentials may also be considered.Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and presentation skills.Excellent teaching and student-mentoring abilities.Strong programming and problem-solving skills.Research orientation with a commitment to continuous learning.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic environment.What We OfferCompetitive salary as per institutional norms.Opportunities for research and professional development.Support for conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs.A collaborative academic and research environment.
