Teachers work closely across grade levels and subject areas to design integrated learning experiences connected to real-world themes. Collaborative planning is built into the weekly schedule, ensuring that educators have the time and support needed to grow, reflect, and design powerful learning experiences together.Language Immersion & Literacy GrowthEnglish is woven into daily life at Unicus. We offer an immersive bilingual environment in which students learn English naturally through meaningful communication, inquiry-based learning, STEAM projects, and literacy development aligned with international standards.As an English Teacher at Colégio Unicus, you will:Teaching & Learning* Plan and teach engaging, developmentally appropriate English lessons that promote literacy, communication, and critical thinking* Use evidence-based methods (including phonics, guided reading, and structured literacy) to support learners at different proficiency levels* Integrate English across projects, inquiry units, STEAM activities, and everyday routines* Use formative assessments to guide instruction, support differentiation, and ensure student progressCollaboration & School Culture* Work closely with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning experiences aligned with BNCC and international standards* Participate in weekly collaborative meetings, professional learning communities, and ongoing training* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and joyful school environment where students feel seen, supported, and motivated* Communicate regularly with families about student learning, goals, and well-beingProfessional Growth* Engage actively in Unicus’ continuous professional development program* Embrace innovation, feedback, and new approaches to teaching and learning* Stay informed about best practices in bilingual education, early literacy, and global educationAbout YouWe are looking for a passionate, reflective, and globally minded educator who brings energy, creativity, and dedication to their classroom.Required Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Education, Languages, Pedagogy, or related field* Experience teaching English or working with children in bilingual settings* Strong understanding of early literacy development and/or phonics instruction* Strong classroom management skills rooted in respect, empathy, and positive discipline* Fluency or strong proficiency in English; Portuguese is a plusPreferred Qualifications* Experience with international curricula (e.g., CCSS, NGSS, IB, Cambridge, project-based learning)* Experience with interdisciplinary teaching and collaborative planning* Postgraduate specialization or master's degree (completed or in progress)Professional Traits* Highly collaborative team player* Adaptive, resourceful, and comfortable with change* Committed to student-centered learning* Curious, reflective, and committed to lifelong learning* Culturally aware and sensitive to diverse learnersAdditional InformationWe uphold the highest standards of child safety and well-being.
