Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Professor – Law (Amity University Kolkata) will be a full-time, on-site faculty member based in the Greater Kolkata Area. Responsibilities include designing and delivering courses in law, mentoring and advising students, supervising research projects and dissertations, and contributing to curriculum development in line with regulatory and institutional standards. The role involves producing high-quality research outputs, publishing in reputed journals, participating in academic conferences, and engaging in interdisciplinary collaborations. The professor is also expected to contribute to departmental administration, accreditation activities, outreach initiatives, and the overall academic life of the campus, while promoting an inclusive and ethical learning environment.QualificationsStrong academic background in Law with expertise in core legal domains such as Constitutional Law and Criminal Law with min 8 Years exp post PHD.Demonstrated excellence in Teaching, including experience with classroom instruction, mentoring, and innovative pedagogical methods.Proven Research capabilities, with a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and ongoing scholarly work.Advanced degree in Law (LL.M. required; Ph.D. or equivalent in Law strongly preferred) and eligibility as per relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., UGC/BCI norms). Should be from NLU.Ability to design curriculum, develop course materials, and integrate practical, case-based and industry-oriented learning into teaching.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to teach and interact effectively in a diverse, multicultural academic environment.Experience in academic administration, program coordination, or leadership roles within a law department or law school is an advantage.Commitment to ethical practice, learner-centered education, and continuous professional development in law and legal education.
