The Professor of Finance will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in finance, covering areas such as corporate finance, financial markets, and related disciplines. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, leading tutorials and seminars, mentoring and advising students, and supervising research projects and dissertations. The role involves conducting high-quality research, publishing in reputable journals, participating in academic conferences, and contributing to curriculum development. The professor will also engage in departmental activities, academic administration, and collaboration with industry and professional bodies to maintain an applied, industry-oriented learning environment.QualificationsStrong academic and practical expertise in Finance and Corporate Finance, with the ability to teach advanced concepts and applications.Solid grounding in Accounting to support interdisciplinary teaching and research in finance-related subjects.Demonstrated Research capabilities, including a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and participation in academic conferences.Doctoral degree (PhD) in Finance or a closely related field from a recognized institution; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA) are an advantage.Proven teaching experience at the university level, with effective classroom management, curriculum development, and student mentoring skills.Ability to integrate industry practices into teaching, build academic-industry linkages, and contribute to the university’s academic reputation.Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and commitment to ethical academic practices and student success.
