Company Description Suez Canal University is an Egyptian governmental university established in 1975, with its cornerstone laid by President Mohamed Anwar Al-Sadat. The university began its first academic year in 1977 and has grown from three initial faculties to include multiple specialized research centers and service units that support the surrounding region. Over time, it expanded to branches in Port Said, Suez, and Arish, which later became separate institutions, reflecting the university’s role in widening access to higher education.Role Description This full-time, on-site Professor of Physiology role is based at Suez Canal University in Ismailia. The Professor will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physiology, develop curricula and assessments, and supervise laboratory sessions and practical training. Responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising theses and research projects, and maintaining a productive research portfolio in physiology or related biomedical fields. The role involves contributing to departmental committees, participating in academic and community outreach activities, and supporting the university’s mission in education, training, and scientific research.Qualifications Advanced academic qualifications in Physiology or a closely related discipline (PhD or equivalent) and a strong record of teaching experience in higher education.Demonstrated research skills, including designing studies, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and securing or contributing to research funding.Proficiency in developing and delivering physiology curricula, assessments, and laboratory-based instruction with attention to student learning outcomes and safety.Strong mentoring, academic advising, and supervision skills for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including guidance on projects and theses.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within diverse academic teams and contribute to departmental and institutional service.Commitment to ethical standards, inclusive teaching practices, and continuous professional development in physiology and medical education.Experience in interdisciplinary or community-oriented research, and familiarity with regional health or biomedical challenges, is considered an asset.
