Project Coordinator Public Health Programs

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewWe are looking for a Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, documentation, and implementation of public health programmes.The role will work closely with internal teams, government stakeholders, healthcare professionals, field teams, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure smooth execution of project activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong project coordination and documentation skills, an understanding of public health programmes, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities 1. Project Management & TrackingTrack project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and action items to ensure timely completion.Monitor project progress and proactively highlight delays, risks, and dependencies.Coordinate with project owners and stakeholders to follow up on pending actions and resolve operational bottlenecks.Prepare regular project status reports covering progress, key updates, pending actions, risks, and support required.Maintain project governance documents, including meeting minutes, action trackers, decision logs, and project records.2. Project Documentation & TrainingDevelop project plans and implementation frameworks covering work plans, monitoring and evaluation activities, and escalation processes.Develop SOPs, checklists, and operational guidelines for project teams.Prepare training materials for healthcare workers and programme teams, including user manuals, FAQs, and reference guides.Support the development of training and capacity-building plans in coordination with the programme team.Support the preparation of concept notes, proposals, presentations, and evidence-based reports.3. Research & Baseline AssessmentConduct secondary research and analyse data related to non-communicable diseases, common cancers, and other relevant public health priorities.Compile and analyse epidemiological, demographic, and health-system data to support baseline assessments and programme planning.Conduct landscape assessments to understand relevant healthcare programmes, implementation models, and sector developments.Track relevant government initiatives, policies, programmes, and developments related to preventive healthcare, cancer screening, and digital health.4. Project Implementation SupportCoordinate project implementation activities, including site readiness, deployment planning, stakeholder coordination, and field operations.Coordinate with government stakeholders, field teams, vendors, and partners for deployment, installation, testing, training, and operational readiness.Prepare and maintain implementation documentation, including deployment plans, readiness checklists, communications, and progress reports.Support field supervision activities and track implementation progress across project sites.Document field observations, identify action items, and ensure timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.Support other project activities as required by the Programme Lead.Required Qualifications & ExperienceMBBS, BDS, AYUSH, or a relevant healthcare qualification with a postgraduate degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Management, or a related field.3+ years of experience in programme coordination, project management, or operations within a public health, healthcare, NGO, or related environment.Experience working with government health programmes or district-level healthcare systems will be an advantage.Exposure to public health programmes, epidemiological studies, digital health initiatives, or healthcare implementation projects is preferred.Demonstrated experience in preparing SOPs, training materials, project documentation, and operational frameworks.Experience in field-level coordination, data collection, programme implementation, or pilot deployments will be an advantage.Key SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to independently prepare clear and professional documents.Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Good project tracking, coordination, and documentation skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.Understanding of the Indian public health system and government healthcare programmes is preferred.Willingness to travel to project implementation sites as required.What We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will be someone who can take ownership of project coordination, maintain strong documentation, follow through on action items, and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
