Program Director – Compute InfrastructurePlano TXLooking for a Program Director – Compute to lead major infrastructure programs supporting client's warehouse, manufacturing, AI, and computer vision applications.This is a technical leadership role, not just a project management position. The person will lead multiple program/project managers and a global team of approximately 36–40 resources across the US, Mexico, India, Canada, UK, and Europe.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and deployment of compute and data center infrastructure.Manage both physical and virtual VMware/ESXi environments.Oversee compute, storage, networking, backup, and recovery infrastructure.Determine whether infrastructure should be physical, virtualized, or moved to the cloud.Support infrastructure needs for AI, ML, computer vision, manufacturing, and warehouse applications.Provide strong technical leadership and work closely with architects and engineering teams.Lead and manage approximately $50–55M worth of infrastructure programs.Manage a global team of approximately 36–40 resources.Work closely with senior leadership and report into the CTO/CIO organization.Ideal CandidateStrong enterprise data center and compute infrastructure experience.Experience with AWS, Azure, or large enterprise data center environments is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of compute, VMware/ESXi, storage, networking, backup/recovery, and cloud infrastructure.Experience leading large, complex infrastructure programs.Strong technical and leadership skills, with the ability to challenge and work with architects and engineers.Experience managing large global teams and budgets.Important: This is a highly technical leadership role. The client is looking for someone who can take ownership of the overall compute infrastructure strategy and lead complex programs, not just someone with traditional program management experience.
