The studio fosters creativity, personal expression, and connection through hands-on learning and collaborative projects.Role Description The Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA, responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of art classes and community programs. This role manages day-to-day operations of the studio’s programming, including scheduling classes, supporting instructors, and ensuring a positive experience for participants. The Program Manager collaborates with staff, teaching artists, and partners to develop and refine program offerings that align with FOSAS’s mission of accessibility and affordability. Daily tasks include monitoring enrollment, managing budgets and program resources, handling communications with students, tracking program performance, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The role also involves supporting outreach efforts, assisting with events, and contributing to strategic planning for program growth and improvement.QualificationsProgram and project management skills, including scheduling, coordination of classes and events, and oversight of day-to-day operations.Experience in community arts, education, or nonprofit programs, with an understanding of accessible, inclusive programming and community engagement.Strong organizational and administrative skills, including data tracking, budget awareness, and effective use of digital tools and basic office software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with instructors, staff, students, and community partners.Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and maintain a welcoming, professional environment in a busy studio setting.Experience supervising staff or volunteers and supporting teaching artists or educators is highly beneficial.Knowledge of or interest in visual arts and creative practices; prior work in an arts or cultural organization is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, education, nonprofit management, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.Full-time | $78,000 annually plus benefits (including free art classes based on availability) | Hybrid in San FranciscoTo ApplyPlease submit:ResumeBrief cover letter describing your interest in community arts education and program coordinationOne example of a complex program, event, class schedule, or administrative process you have helped coordinateApplications should be sent to: Nicki Guard, FOSAS Executive Director, nicki@sharonartstudio.orgSubject: Program Manager Application – [Your Name]
