In 2024, 96% of operating expenses were invested directly into programs, reflecting a strong commitment to stewardship, transparency, and measurable impact.JOB DESCRIPTION:Project Management Work closely with and provide support to the Director of Family Village (Home for Orphans) to ensure the stability, accountability and mission driven of operation. Ensure the quality design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project interventions in alignment with the organization’s values. Develop strategies and partnerships to ensure the project responds to local needs and adheres to organizational guidelines. Ensure effective project implementation, including activities, budgets, and documentation, in line with proposals, strategies, and organizational requirements. Monitor project performance and progress, compiling reports from project officers/coordinators to track achievements, identify gaps, and propose solutions. Provide technical guidance and leadership to partners and stakeholders in participatory planning and implementation of project activities, ensuring adherence to technical standards and best practices. Support relief interventions and ensure proper execution of activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Ensure effective engagement with local communities, government counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders. People Management & Supervision Demonstrate and uphold the organization's core values in interactions with beneficiaries, colleagues, subordinates, the community, and partners. Supervise and mentor project officers and partners, ensuring they are motivated, equipped, and empowered to deliver high-quality program outcomes. Conduct regular staff performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and encouraging professional growth. Build the technical capacity of staff through training, coaching, networking and performance management systems. Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment, ensuring clear communication and coordination among team members. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of staff and assets. Budget Management Manage project budgets, ensuring activities are executed within approved spending levels and financial reports are accurate and timely. Work closely with the Finance and Support Services team to ensure compliance with local and organizational rules and regulations. Oversee project start-ups, implementation, and closures, ensuring deliverables are achieved within time, cost, and scope. Monitor financial expenditures, ensuring accountability and transparency in the use of funds. Support financial reporting, variance analysis, and compliance with external audits. Monitoring, Reporting, and Knowledge Management Maintain effective project quality assurance mechanisms, including regular monitoring, reporting, and communication systems. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operations, documentation, reporting, and knowledge sharing. Conduct regular site visits to monitor project implementation, provide operational support and identify areas for improvement. Compile and submit performance progress reports to meet donor and organizational requirements. Document and share best practices, lessons learned, and success stories to enhance program impact and visibility. Organize quarterly project review meetings to assess progress, adapt strategies, and share learning. Donor Relations and Engagement Represent Silver Lining Missions in government discussions, and coordination forums. Build collaborative relationships with NGOs, and other stakeholders to enhance program delivery and alignment with sector priorities. Ensure timely and accurate communication with donors through reporting, proposal submissions, and regular updates with the collaboration of the international team. Other Duties Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor. Support the broader mission of Silver Lining Missions with flexibility and dedication. Required Professional Experience At least 7 years of experience in project management, grant compliance, financial management, and tracking project performance. Proven ability to manage complex partnerships and coordinate with government agencies, donors, and technical partners. Experience working in cross-cultural settings, particularly in Myanmar or similar contexts, is an advantage. Required Education, Training, and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in child development, psychology, community development, social work, or a related field. Specialized training in project management, child development, facilitation, disability inclusion, etc. Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and financial management. Strong analytical, managerial, and leadership skills, with experience leading diverse and multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Familiarity with Christian ministry and mission-driven organizations. Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools. Fluency in English and Burmese is required.
