Make an impact!Residential Treatment or Community Mental Health experience required!We’re looking for a Program Manager to lead day-to-day operations and direct service staff at a residential sobering program in San Jose. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance team management, client care, crisis intervention, and program compliance while creating a supportive environment for both staff and clients.What you’ll do:Lead, hire, train, coach, and evaluate direct service staffManage staffing schedules, coverage, timecards, and day-to-day operationsOversee quality client care from intake through dischargeProvide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and de-escalation supportOversee medication storage/dispensing procedures, documentation, and inventoryEnsure compliance with program policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standardsIdentify training needs and provide ongoing staff developmentConnect clients with community resources related to mental health, substance use, housing, healthcare, and other support servicesMonitor documentation, conduct file audits, and prepare program reportsSupport a safe, respectful, and collaborative environment for clients and staffWhat you bring:BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years of experience in a residential treatment, community mental health, or drug/alcohol treatment setting2+ years supervising, managing, and evaluating staff2+ years providing staff training, including de-escalation and crisis interventionExperience working with diverse populations and clients with challenging behaviorsStrong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsAbility to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situationsCurrent CPR/First Aid certificationValid California driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportationPreferred: Current RADT, RADT II, CADC I, or CADC II registration/certification through CCAPP.Compensation & Perks:$90K–$95K, based on experience$2,000 bilingual sign-on bonus for qualified bilingual applicants who successfully complete the language assessmentMedical, dental, life & LTD coveragePTO + holiday payRetirement benefits after 6 monthsTraining & CEU opportunitiesIf you’re a people-focused leader who knows how to support a team, navigate challenging situations, and keep client care at the center of the work, we’d love to hear from you.
