Programming Analyst / Finance Systems DeveloperLocation: London or Glasgow - hybridAn established professional services organisation is looking for an experienced Programming Analyst / Finance Systems Developer to join its technology team, with a primary focus on Elite 3E and other critical financial systems.You'll work closely with internal business teams, Business Analysts and technology colleagues to develop and enhance systems, support day to day operations and help shape the future technology roadmap.This is an exciting time to join the organisation, with the role playing an important part in a wider transformation and merger programme. The business is beginning a journey to move key systems from on premise environments towards the cloud, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to play a key role in this transition.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance and support Elite 3E and related financial applications.Act as a key technical point of contact for financial systems.Use SQL and development technologies including VB/.NET and Visual Studio to develop and maintain solutions.Work closely with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.Provide ongoing BAU support, troubleshooting and technical problem solving.Participate in requirements gathering, discovery sessions and solution design.Contribute to technology strategy and systems roadmap discussions.Research emerging technologies and developments in the market to identify opportunities for improvement.Explore potential AI and automation opportunities across financial and business processes.Support the transition from on premise applications to cloud based solutions.Work collaboratively across business and technology teams to deliver projects and system improvements.Present technical information and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and straightforward way.About YouWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical development skills with the ability to work confidently with business stakeholders.You may come from a legal, financial services, banking or another complex enterprise environment.Ideally, you'll have:Strong SQL development experience.Experience with VB.NET/.NET, Visual Studio or similar development technologies.Experience developing, supporting or enhancing business critical applications.Experience working alongside Business Analysts and business users on requirements gathering and solution development.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, clear language.Confidence contributing to meetings, discovery sessions and discussions with business stakeholders.An interest in technology strategy, systems roadmaps and emerging technologies.Experience with cloud migration, application modernisation or cloud based financial systems would be advantageous.A bonus if you have:Experience with Elite 3E, Aderant or a comparable financial/enterprise system.Come from a professional services background, legal, financial, banking etcThis is an opportunity for a technically strong Finance Systems Developer to work closely with the business, influence technology decisions and play a key role in the future development of critical financial systems.If you feel you fit the skills above, please apply now or send your CV to jordan@echo-talent.com
