Programming Trainer

Role Description The Programming Trainer will design and deliver classroom-based and lab-based training sessions in programming languages and related technologies to students at Vel Tech’s Āvadi campus. This full-time, on-site role includes preparing lesson plans, instructional materials, coding exercises, and assessment tools aligned with institutional curriculum standards. The trainer will guide learners through fundamental and advanced programming concepts, provide hands-on mentoring during practical sessions, and support students with doubts, projects, and skill development. Responsibilities also include evaluating student performance, giving constructive feedback, contributing to curriculum updates, collaborating with other faculty on academic initiatives, and staying current with emerging programming tools and methodologies to continuously improve training quality.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong programming skills in one or more languages (such as Java or Python), along with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development fundamentals.Candidates should possess instructional and training skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, curriculum delivery, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.Candidates should possess assessment and mentoring skills, including designing evaluations, providing constructive feedback, guiding student projects, and supporting learners with varying levels of proficiency.Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including effective verbal and written communication, teamwork with faculty and staff, and professional interaction with a diverse student body.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline are preferred, along with prior teaching, training, or industry experience in programming.Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with modern development tools and platforms, experience with project-based learning, enthusiasm for educational innovation, and commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching.
