Project Accountant

Project AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing global project-driven organization to identify a Project Accountant. This position offers the opportunity to support large-scale capital and infrastructure projects while working closely with operations, project leadership, and finance teams. The role provides significant visibility, strong career growth potential, and the ability to make a direct impact on project performance within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Primary Responsibilities of the Project Accountant Role Include:• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, commitments, and actual costs throughout the project lifecycle• Review purchase orders, invoices, subcontractor billings, and payment requests to ensure accuracy and proper cost allocation• Track project financial performance, identify variances, and assist leadership with cost forecasting and reporting• Maintain cash flow projections and provide regular updates on project spending trends and potential risks• Support change order management and ensure financial documentation is properly maintained and approved• Partner with project managers, operations teams, and accounting to reconcile project financial data and improve reporting accuracy• Prepare recurring project cost reports and provide insights to support business decisions• Assist with process improvements and implementation of project cost management tools and reporting systemsPrimary Qualifications Include:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or related field• 3+ years of project accounting, cost accounting, construction accounting, or project controls experience• Experience supporting large-scale projects in construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or related industries preferred• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, job costing, purchase orders, and vendor invoicing processes• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and identify trends• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment• Detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills• Experience with ERP, project accounting, or construction management systems is a plusIf you're looking for a leadership role where you can partner closely with business leaders and project managers, we’d love to connect.
