About The CompanyOur client is a growing project-based organization with an established presence across Western Canada. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Project Accountant to support active projects and work closely with both operations and finance teams.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering directly with Project Managers to help drive project success.Position OverviewThe Project Accountant will be responsible for supporting project teams through all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate project costing, reporting, invoicing, and financial administration. Working closely with Project Managers and Accounting, this role plays an important part in maintaining financial controls and supporting operational decision-making.This position is fully in-office and offers exposure to a collaborative team environment with opportunities for long-term growth.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers with project costing, budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.Process and review invoices, change orders, progress billings, and subcontractor payments.Monitor project budgets and commitments to ensure accurate cost reporting.Track and reconcile project-related costs and assist with month-end close activities.Prepare client invoices, progress draws, and supporting documentation.Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities related to active projects.Maintain accurate project records, contracts, and financial documentation.Support project forecasting and provide analysis on project performance.Liaise with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.Assist with project closeout procedures and final financial reconciliations.Qualifications, Skills & Experience3+ years of Project Accounting experience.General Contractor experience is strongly preferred.Experience working closely with Project Managers and operations teams.Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, progress billings, and project financial reporting.Procore experience is highly desirable.What We OfferCompetitive salary in the $70k-$82k range, depending on experienceCompetitive vacation and benefits packageAnnual BonusStable and growing organization with a strong project pipelineWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
