Project Accountant

Myers & Sons Construction Pico Rivera, California, United States (On-site)The Project Accountant must be experienced in all aspects of project accounting including contracts, change orders, compliance, insurance requirements and billings. Must be able to communicate effectively, work with a variety of people in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities:Review and comprehend contracts (Prime and Sub)Project setup and maintenance in Viewpoint and Share drivesRequest and maintain project bond and insurance policiesCreate subcontractor contractsResponsible for subcontractor compliance and insurance requirementsProcess change orders (Prime and Sub)Process monthly billings and coordinate paymentsProcess extra work billsClose out of completed projectsMonthly audit of subcontractor paymentsCoordinate and communicate with internal teams and subcontractorsOther duties assigned based on company needs.Education and Experience:3+ years' experience in construction accountingBasic understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OutlookExperience with Viewpoint software is a plusExcellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)Strong problem-solving, time management and decision-making abilitiesAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefits:Health Insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision)-our company covers 80% of the healthcare cost for our employees and their dependents.
