Project Accountant – AECLocation: San Francisco, CASchedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per weekPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support a collaborative architecture/engineering environment. This individual will partner closely with Project Managers and leadership to manage project financials, billing, budgets, and reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Project Managers to track project budgets, staffing, fees, and financial performanceManage client invoicing, AR/collections, AP, journal entries, and time & expense reportingReview project costs and timesheets for accuracyPrepare monthly financial reporting and budget/variance analysisMonitor project financial performance and identify potential budget or billing issuesSupport month-end accounting and operational reportingAssist with additional accounting and project-related financial needsRequirements3–5+ years of project accounting experienceAEC (Architecture, Engineering, or Construction) experience strongly preferredExperience working directly with Project ManagersStrong knowledge of project billing, budgets, job costs, AR, and financial reportingDeltek Vantagepoint experience highly preferredStrong Excel and general accounting systems skillsExcellent communication, organization, and attention to detailComfortable working independently in a hands-on environment
