(Senior) Project Accountant South Bay / Redondo Beach, CA (Onsite Monday-Friday) Direct Hire | $100,000-$125,000 (Up to $140,000 for Senior Project Accountant with CPA)Our client, a growing construction company specializing in affordable housing projects, is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team in Redondo Beach. This is a highly visible role that will work closely with the CFO and CEO and offers strong long-term growth potential within the organization.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction accounting, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and be eager to contribute beyond day-to-day responsibilities.Key Qualifications:Bachelor's degree requiredConstruction accounting experience requiredStrong understanding of project billing, draws, retention, job costing, and payrollProficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and SageGeneral payroll knowledgeCPA or CPA-track strongly preferredMust reside in the South Bay areaWhat You'll Be Doing:Manage project accounting activities for large-scale construction projectsHandle draws, retention, job costing, billing, payroll support, and related accounting functionsPartner closely with leadership on financial reporting and project performanceSupport month-end close and financial analysisContribute ideas for process improvements and system enhancementsAssist with the company's planned transition from QuickBooks Desktop to SageCompensation & Benefits:Base salary of $100,000-$125,000Up to $140,000 for Senior Project Accountants with CPA credentials and broader accounting experienceDiscretionary bonusProfit sharing401(k)Health insuranceThis opportunity is best suited for a hands-on accounting professional who understands construction project accounting, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for a long-term home with a growing company.If you're interested in learning more, please reach out directly.
