Position: Project AccountantLocation: Jackson, GAJob Summary: The Project Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the project team regarding contract modifications, compliance, payments, reports and any other duties related to the project. Accountants are expected to occasionally travel to project sites for job status review meetings. This position reports to the Division Controller. Primary Duties: Manage all accounting related functions for assigned projects. Assist project teams with any questions or needs related to the project accounting. Manage vendor invoices and compliance for assigned projects. Prepare Owner monthly billings and include associated documentation. Assist Project Manager with Budget vs Costs reviews, and possible adjustments needed. Understand compliance requirements for assigned projects. Requirements: Process vendor purchase orders and invoices accurately and within assigned timeline. Process sub-contractor contracts, change orders accurately and within assigned timeline. Collect and track compliance documents. Generate reports including Payroll Hours, A/R, Contract Status, and Job Cost. Input owner billings into Viewpoint Construction Accounting Software. Process Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders in ProjectSight Software. Review Job Cost Detail Reports with Project Manager for accuracy weekly. Monthly project billing and cost vs budget reconciliation. Other related duties as assigned or needed.Qualifications: Minimum 3 years prior experience working as a construction project accountant. Experience in the Commercial Construction industry preferred, specifically General Contractor. Proficient in data entry. Flexible in task requirements. Detail Oriented and high accuracy in completing tasks. Strong communication skills. Key competencies are Communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability.
