Project Accountant

Role Overview:A leading commercial General Contractor with an active pipeline of healthcare, industrial, and ground-up commercial projects across Texas is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join their team.You will work closely with Project Managers and field teams to oversee job costing, monthly WIP schedules, subcontractor pay applications, and lien waiver management.Key Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle project accounting portfolios for commercial construction projects ranging from $10M to $80M+.Oversee monthly WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedule preparation, revenue recognition, and over/under billings.Process monthly AIA billing packages (G702/G703) and manage sub-tier lien releases.Partner with Project Managers and Executives during monthly project cost review meetings.Qualifications and Experience:3+ years of project accounting experience within Commercial General Contracting or Subcontracting.Strong proficiency in construction ERP systems (Sage 300 CRE / Timberline, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, or Procore Financials).Deep understanding of Texas mechanic's liens, pay application cycles, and retainage accounting.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Package and Remuneration:$80,000 - $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience)401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time off and paid federal holidaysComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
