Project AccountantTrevi Group is seeking an experienced Project Accountants to join our team supporting the delivery of major geotechnical and construction works on the Lihir Project in Papua New Guinea.The successful candidate will track and manage, record, monitor and analyze the site financial activities, cost, billings and performance of the project site.The candidate may spend a couple of months with Trevi Philippines and later will be mobilized to Lihir Island in Papua New Guinea.This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor project expenses, code field invoices, and update cost reports to compare actual spending against estimated budget.Review subcontractors pay applications, track retainage, verify conditional or unconditional lien waivers, and coordinate prompt payments.Assist the Project Manager with gathering data for client progress billings, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up delayed payments.Review onsite timecards, equipment logs, and petty cash reports to ensure accurate labor hour and resource allocation of the project.Prepare monthly cost-to-complete analyses, work-In-Progress inputs, and variance reports for Project Managers and other user.Maintain organized paper and digital audit trails onsite, ensuring compliance with local tax rules, insurance certificates, and company internal control. Qualifications and ExperienceDegree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2 to 5 years of general or project accounting experience, ideally within the construction, mining or engineering industry.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP accounting software.Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate smoothly with onsite project managers, field superintendents, subcontractors, and corporate finance teams.Experience working on large-scale construction or mining projects.Desired AttributesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when required.Commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Preferred Experience

Mining, deep foundations, ground engineering, piling, diaphragm walls, drilling, grouting, earth retention systems, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
