The Project Assistant is a junior role for someone at the start of their career. The primary focus is to shadow and assist Etch's Project Managers across live retail design and build projects.Studio projects may also form part of the role, particularly at the outset, but they will be secondary to client project support.Key ResponsibilitiesProject support first. Studio support where it builds relevant experience.Shadowing and training: Learn how Etch plans, costs, coordinates and delivers projects.Planning and organisation: Maintain schedules, actions, files andproject trackers.Project coordination: Support live projects from brief to installation,working with internal teams and suppliers.Actions and information: Arrange meetings, take clear notes, follow upactions and keep information up to date.Financial administration: Gather quotes, raise purchase orders, placeapproved orders and support cost tracking.Communication: Share updates clearly and flag risks, delays or missinginformation early.Studio projects: Own selected internal projects, particularly during theinitial training period.Progression: Build towards managing workstreams and smaller projectswith increasing independence.Person Specification: A graduate or someone with one to two years of experience in a related fieldEvidence of planning and delivering something through work,study, volunteering or a personal projectStrong organisation, time management and attention to detailClear written and verbal communicationInitiative, curiosity and a willingness to ask questionsConfidence learning new systems, software and ways of workingA practical and calm approach when plans changeMotivation to build a long-term career in project managementProgression: At first, the Project Assistant will shadow experienced Project Managers and support defined tasks across live projects. They may also take ownership of selected studio projects during this initial training period.As their capability grows, they will take responsibility for workstreams, project administration and smaller projects with increasing independence.The aim is to develop a trusted Project Manager who can eventually manage their own clients and projects.Perks & Benefits: 25 Days annual leave: Plus Bank Holidays and your birthday!
