Project Assistant / Coordinato

Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work-from-home tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting cybersecurity-focused activities such as planning and coordinating workshops, talks, and CTFs, as well as assisting in content creation for technical sessions and chapter communications. The role may involve researching current security trends, preparing learning materials, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with student members and mentors to deliver engaging events. The person in this role is expected to participate in both on-site chapter initiatives and remote tasks such as online coordination, communication, and preparation of digital resources.QualificationsInterest in cybersecurity, web application security, ethical hacking, and secure coding practices, with a willingness to learn and stay updated on emerging threats and technologies.Ability to support event organization and coordination, including workshops, talks, hackathons, and CTF competitions.Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, faculty advisors, and external partners in both on-site and remote settings.Basic familiarity with programming or scripting (such as Python, JavaScript, or similar) and an understanding of core computer science or IT concepts is beneficial.Organizational and time-management skills to balance part-time responsibilities with academic or other commitments.Prior participation in cybersecurity clubs, competitions, or related projects is an advantage but not mandatory.
