We support international clients by delivering top-tier talent from Sri Lanka with strong offshore operational capability.About the Role We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator & Purchaser to manage multiple live construction projects from handover through to completion. This is a busy, hands-on role requiring excellent organization, strong communication and the ability to manage several projects, suppliers and deadlines at the same time.Previous construction industry experience is essential and non-negotiable.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate projects once they have been secured, ensuring all requirements, deadlines and responsibilities are clearly recorded.Set up and maintain each project on the company’s project management systems.Review project requirements, drawings, specifications and agreed scopes of work.Obtain supplier lead times and identify any potential programme or delivery issues.Prepare purchase orders and place material orders accurately and on time.Monitor orders and confirm that materials will arrive in line with the project programme.Arrange deliveries directly to site and liaise with suppliers, site teams and transport providers.Schedule fitters and subcontractors across multiple live projects.Provide fitters with the relevant drawings, site information, schedules, contacts and project requirements.Maintain regular communication with site teams and respond quickly to programme changes or delays.Coordinate samples, colour selections and product confirmations.Assist with technical submittals, health and safety documentation, site inductions and project folders.Track labour hours, day works, site sign-offs and other information required for project costing and invoicing.Match supplier invoices against purchase orders and resolve any quantity, pricing or delivery discrepancies.Maintain accurate records of project costs, orders, deliveries and outstanding items.Assist with project close-out documentation, including O&M manuals.Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor, Accounts, Contracts and Operations teams throughout each project.Essential RequirementsPrevious experience in a construction-based project coordination, purchasing or procurement role.Strong understanding of construction programmes, site deadlines, supplier lead times and material deliveries.Proven ability to coordinate several live projects simultaneously.Experience preparing purchase orders and matching supplier invoices against POs.Excellent organization and time-management skills.Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers, site managers, fitters and subcontractors.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to priorities urgent tasks and adapt when project schedules change.Comfortable working with project management systems, spreadsheets and general office software.Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with the wider team.The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will be proactive, practical and highly organized.
