Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra | Travel to focus states as requiredEmployment Type: Full-time, Project-basedDuration: Co-terminus with the donor-funded project period Reports To: Joint DirectorAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and highly organised Project Coordinator to support the implementation of a comprehensive Women’s Health Initiative focused on improving health outcomes across the reproductive lifespan.The initiative focuses on five priority areas:Preconception CareAnaemia in PregnancyContraceptionReproductive Tract InfectionsAbnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB)The Project Coordinator will serve as the operational coordination hub across programme, technical, field, government, donor and FOGSI stakeholders. The role will involve managing timelines, coordinating teams and activities, tracking budgets and deliverables, supporting field implementation, and ensuring timely reporting and documentation.Key Responsibilities1. Programme Planning & ImplementationMaintain and drive the master implementation plan across all five thematic areas and project workstreams.Track milestones, timelines, dependencies, deliverables and project risks.Coordinate implementation across focus states, ensuring alignment between technical guidance and field-level execution.Identify delays, risks and resource gaps and proactively escalate and support resolution.Ensure timely completion of project activities and deliverables.2. Team & Field CoordinationCoordinate the activities of field teams, consultants and other project resources.Support planning and execution of sensitisation meetings, design workshops, Training of Trainers (ToTs), competency-based workshops and other programme activities.Coordinate field visits, implementation reviews and monitoring activities across selected public and private health facilities.Support implementation of initiatives such as antenatal IV iron therapy and HMB screening and referral pathways.Ensure effective communication and coordination between central and field teams.3. Stakeholder & Partnership ManagementAct as a key coordination point with state health system nodal officers, technical experts, government stakeholders and FOGSI leadership.Coordinate with the National Technical Advisory Group and other programme governance bodies.Organise meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes and ensure timely follow-up on action points.Coordinate with the FOGSI Secretariat and member societies for mapping, onboarding and engagement of regional champions and master trainers.Support donor and government review meetings, site visits and programme discussions.Maintain strong working relationships with clinical, government, NGO, donor and professional-body stakeholders.4. Monitoring, Budget & ReportingTrack project budgets and planned expenditure, identify variances and flag financial risks to the reporting manager.Support budget monitoring and financial reporting requirements.Ensure timely and accurate data submission by field teams into the electronic registryConsolidate programme data, dashboards, progress updates and monitoring reports.Track engagement and performance of the FOGSI Network of Influencers, including CMEs, workshops, webinars, master-trainer activities and champion engagement.Prepare periodic reports and programme briefs for internal, donor, government and FOGSI stakeholders.5. Documentation & DisseminationCoordinate the development, review and finalisation of SOPs, job aids, newsletters, position papers, case studies and other programme materials.Support preparation of abstracts, presentations and dissemination materials for national and international forums.Maintain organised project documentation, trackers, meeting records and action-point logs.Support knowledge-sharing and dissemination of learnings and outcomes from the programme.6. Additional ResponsibilitiesUndertake any other project-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager or Joint Director.Qualifications & ExperiencePostgraduate degree in Public Health (MPH), Management, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or a related discipline.3–5 years of relevant experience in programme/project coordination, preferably in public health, maternal and reproductive health, healthcare implementation or multi-stakeholder projects.Experience working with government programmes, NHM/RMNCH+A, FOGSI, professional medical bodies, NGOs or donor-funded projects will be an advantage.Demonstrated experience in managing project timelines, budgets, teams and multiple stakeholders.Prior experience in women’s health, maternal health or reproductive health programmes will be preferred.Skills & Competencies:Strong project and programme management skills.Excellent coordination, planning and organisational abilities.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.Good understanding of women’s, reproductive and maternal health.Strong proficiency in MS Excel and project tracking tools.Familiarity with Power BI, DHIS2 or similar monitoring/dashboard platforms is an advantage.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Working knowledge of Hindi and Marathi preferred.Strong documentation, reporting and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach.Willingness to travel to focus states and field locations as required.
