Senior Project Coordinator – Post Contract

Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleAn established and highly regarded interior design studio in Dubai is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to take a leading role across the post-contract delivery of its projects.This is a hands-on position focused on bridging the gap between design intent and on-site execution.

You will oversee contractor submissions, technical coordination, RFIs, shop drawings and site-related matters, ensuring projects are delivered accurately and to the required design and quality standards.The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of interior construction and detailing, combined with extensive UAE project experience and the confidence to manage contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of projects throughout the post-contract phase, ensuring technical reviews and information are managed efficiently and accurately.Coordinate with document control to ensure all incoming and outgoing project information is properly logged, tracked and issued.Review contractor shop drawings against approved design intent, layouts and technical requirements.Prepare clear and accurate responses to RFIs, technical queries and project-related enquiries.Identify potential constructability issues and develop practical, buildable solutions that maintain the original design intent.Work closely with internal design and production teams to resolve technical and non-standard packages before they become site issues.Review and coordinate technical information from specialist consultants including MEP, lighting and AV/IT.Attend project sites to undertake inspections, workshops, snagging and de-snagging.Monitor workmanship and installation quality to ensure projects meet the required design and execution standards.Ensure projects comply with relevant UAE building regulations, accessibility requirements and industry best practice.Manage project scopes, deliverables and technical information across multiple stakeholders.Maintain clear and responsive communication with contractors, consultants, clients and internal teams.Experience & BackgroundThe successful candidate will ideally have:Approximately 8–12+ years' industry experience within interior design, architecture or interior fit-out.At least 5–8 years' professional experience within the UAE.A degree or professional background in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design or a related discipline.Strong post-contract and site delivery experience.Extensive experience reviewing shop drawings, coordination drawings and material submittals.Excellent knowledge of interior construction, detailing, materials and installation methods.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary packages including MEP, lighting and AV/IT.Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, regulations and site procedures.Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant drafting/document management platforms; experience with systems such as Aconex would be advantageous.About YouYou will be proactive, technically strong and solutions-focused, with the confidence to take full ownership of projects during the post-contract stage.You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced design environment and capable of challenging contractors, consultants and other stakeholders constructively when required to protect the project scope, quality and design intent.Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside the ability to balance technical requirements with the creative ambitions of the project.Additional RequirementsValid UAE driving licence.Ability and willingness to travel to project sites across the Emirates as required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple project priorities and deadlines.
