PROJECT DIRECTOR | £120M LANDMARK DEVELOPMENT | UP TO £130K + PACKAGEA Tier 1 main contractor is looking to appoint a Project Director for a landmark £120m development, offering up to £130,000 + package.This is a genuinely complex project and an opportunity to take ownership of a major scheme from PCSA through to completion, rather than stepping into a project that is already well into delivery.The ProjectThe development forms part of a significant long-term regeneration and investment programme for a globally recognised engineering and technology organisation.The scheme will bring together a number of highly technical construction elements, including:Large-scale steel frame buildingsCommercial and specialist buildingsClean room environmentsComplex MEP and building services installationsExtensive structural and architectural interfacesSignificant design development and coordinationSpecialist and technically demanding packagesMultiple stakeholder and supply chain interfacesA challenging programme with a high level of technical coordinationThe project will be entering a 40-week PCSA period, giving the successful Project Director the opportunity to have genuine influence over the preconstruction strategy, design development, procurement, buildability, programme and delivery methodology before taking the project through a c.2-year construction programme to handover.The BusinessThe business is an established Tier 1 main contractor with a strong track record across complex commercial, specialist and technically demanding construction projects.They have built a reputation for taking on schemes where strong technical delivery, detailed planning and close collaboration between the client, design team and supply chain are critical to success.This is a business where senior project leaders are given genuine responsibility and are expected to take ownership of their projects, rather than simply managing a defined package of work.The successful individual will have significant exposure to the client, consultants, design team and wider project leadership, with the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the project from its earliest stages.The RoleAs Project Director, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the scheme, leading the project from PCSA through to completion.Your responsibilities will include:Providing strategic leadership across preconstruction and deliveryLeading the PCSA process and transition into constructionDriving design development, buildability and value engineeringDeveloping and managing the overall project programmeLeading commercial, operational and contractual performanceManaging senior client and consultant relationshipsOverseeing procurement and specialist package strategyManaging design, technical and construction interfacesProviding leadership to the wider project teamDriving health & safety, quality and environmental performanceManaging programme, risk and project governanceEnsuring successful delivery through to PC and handoverThe Person I am looking to speak with established Senior Project Managers / Project Directors who have experience delivering complex £100m+ construction projects.Experience across commercial, advanced manufacturing, industrial, pharmaceutical, life sciences, high-tech, healthcare or other technically demanding environments would be highly relevant.Most importantly, you will need to be comfortable operating at a senior level, managing significant stakeholder relationships and taking full ownership of a complex project from preconstruction through to delivery.Salary: up to £130,000 + packageThis is a confidential retained search, so I am unable to disclose the client organisation, exact location or full project details publicly.If you're a Project Director looking for a genuinely complex £120m project where you can have an impact from PCSA through to handover, get in touch for a confidential discussion.
