Employment Type: Full-timeThe OpportunityAn established international engineering and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major infrastructure projects in Dubai.This is a senior leadership position suited to an individual with a strong main contracting background, extensive experience delivering complex infrastructure projects, and a proven track record within the UAE.A key requirement is significant tunnelling experience, alongside broader exposure to major infrastructure and civil engineering projects.The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the leadership, delivery and commercial performance of major projects, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and direction for major infrastructure projects from mobilisation through to completion.Take full responsibility for project delivery, programme, commercial performance, quality, health & safety and client relationships.Lead and manage large multidisciplinary project teams and senior management functions.Oversee the delivery of complex tunnelling and underground infrastructure works.Provide strategic direction across wider infrastructure packages, including major civil engineering and transportation projects.Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, government entities, consultants, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.Drive project performance against agreed budgets, programmes and contractual requirements.Identify and manage commercial, contractual, technical and operational risks.Ensure effective project governance, reporting and performance management.Lead project teams through complex construction challenges and provide senior-level decision making.Support business development and the identification of future infrastructure opportunities across the UAE and wider region.Champion best practice across safety, quality, sustainability and project delivery.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be an established Project Director / Senior Project Director / Project Executive with extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects.You will ideally have:Extensive experience working for a main contractor / major construction contractor.Significant experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.Strong and demonstrable tunnelling experience — this is a key requirement.Experience across other major infrastructure disciplines, such as highways, transportation, rail, bridges, utilities, underground infrastructure or other complex civil engineering projects.Previous UAE experience, with a strong understanding of the local construction and infrastructure market.Experience managing major projects with significant contract values and large multidisciplinary teams.Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder-management capability.A proven ability to operate at senior leadership level with clients and key government/infrastructure stakeholders.Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure or a related discipline.What’s on OfferCirca AED 95,000 per monthSenior leadership position within a major international organisation.Opportunity to lead some of the region’s most significant infrastructure and tunnelling projects.Dubai-based role with exposure to major UAE infrastructure programmes.Significant responsibility and influence at project and organisational level.How to ApplyIf you are an experienced infrastructure Project Director with a strong main contracting background, significant tunnelling experience and previous UAE experience, we would be keen to hear from you.Please apply with an up-to-date CV outlining your major infrastructure and tunnelling project experience.
