Project Engineer - Civil (Arabic Speaking)

Asico is hiring for a Project Engineer - Civil in its Dubai Offices , to provide day-to-day technical and site-level support across the project portfolio, ensuring that design intent, contract requirements, and quality standards are translated into accurate execution on the ground. The Project Engineer acts as the technical backbone of the project team, supporting the Head of Projects and Project Managers in monitoring contractor performance, verifying technical submittals, and safeguarding the client's interests throughout the project lifecycle.This Position reports to the Head Of Projects . Technical Review & Documentation Review and verify contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with design intent, specifications, and applicable codes Maintain accurate technical records, drawing registers, and submittal logs to support traceability and audit readiness Coordinate RFIs (Requests for Information) between design consultants and site teams, ensuring timely resolution Site Monitoring & Quality Control Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction activities conform to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards Support the QA/QC function by identifying non-conformities early and following up on corrective actions with contractors Monitor contractor progress against the master schedule and flag deviations to the Head of Projects Contract Administration Support Assist in reviewing interim payment certificates (IPCs), variation orders, and technical claims before escalation Support the preparation and tracking of contractual correspondence, notices, and instructions issued under the applicable FIDIC form of contract Help maintain the project risk register by flagging technical and schedule-related risks as they arise Coordination & Reporting Liaise with design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve day-to-day technical and coordination issues Prepare periodic progress reports, inspection reports, and site diaries for internal and client review Support the Head of Projects in preparing materials for client and authority meetings HSE & Compliance Promote and enforce site safety practices in coordination with the HSE function Support permitting, inspection, and NOC-related site requirements with relevant Dubai authoritiesRequirements 8 to 12 years of experience in real estate development or Engineering Consultants, with a minimum of 5 years in the UAEExperience on the consultant or developer side is essential. Main contractor experience is a good addition, but candidates whose experience is limited to contractor-side roles only will not qualifyWorking knowledge of Primavera (P6) and AutoCAD is essentialWorking knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract, with practical exposure to submittals, RFIs, and site-level contract administrationFamiliarity with UAE construction codes and authority approval processes (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Civil Defence, DEWA)Detail-oriented, with strong site presence and the ability to coordinate across design, contractor, and client teamsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a AchitecturePMP certification is an added valueArabic speaker, with strong written and verbal English communication skillsValid UAE driving licenseBenefitsCompetitive Salary and BenefitsWork permit & Health CoverageProfessional Development OpportunitiesA Dynamic and Collaborative work environment with Growth Potential
