Project Engineer

General DescriptionThe Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating and supporting the execution of Pipeline and Process Services projects, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, and shutdown activities.The role involves translating client requirements into practical execution plans, coordinating manpower and equipment, supporting site teams and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and in line with technical and contractual requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project specifications, drawings, P&IDs, test packs, and client requirements.Prepare method statements, risk assessments, execution plans, equipment lists, and technical documentation.Perform basic engineering calculations related to pipeline volume, pressure, flow, filling, flushing, and drying.Select suitable pumps, compressors, filtration units, dryers, nitrogen equipment, hoses, manifolds, and temporary piping.Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, permits, mobilization, and site readiness.Support the execution of hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, flushing, air blowing, dewatering, drying, nitrogen purging, chemical cleaning, and pipeline pre-commissioning activities.Provide technical support to site teams and resolve operational issues.Monitor progress, resource utilization, equipment performance, and project costs.Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.Maintain project records, test reports, calibration certificates, daily reports, and completion dossiers.Identify scope changes and support variation and cost-recovery documentation.Ensure compliance with QHSE requirements and client standards.Qualification RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Process, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.3-5 years of experience in Pipeline and Process Services, pre-commissioning, commissioning, oil and gas services, or industrial projects.Practical experience in hydrotesting, flushing, air blowing, dewatering, drying, nitrogen services, or chemical cleaning.Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, technical specifications, and test packs.Good understanding of pumps, compressors, temporary piping, valves, hoses, filtration, drying, and testing equipment.Experience preparing method statements, calculations, risk assessments, and project reports.Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.UAE or GCC experience and a valid UAE driving license are preferred.
