Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteers who contribute to ORAS’s research assistance services. This role involves recruiting and onboarding volunteers, coordinating schedules, and assigning tasks aligned with their skills and the platform’s needs. The coordinator will provide guidance and basic training, maintain clear communication, and ensure that volunteers understand procedures, quality standards, and timelines. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring volunteer progress, resolving issues, facilitating collaboration between volunteers and core team members, and supporting outreach initiatives to expand the volunteer pool. The coordinator will also help document volunteer activities, gather feedback, and suggest improvements to enhance the volunteer experience and the effectiveness of services.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong volunteer management and coordination skills, including experience organizing, supervising, and supporting volunteers.Candidates should possess volunteer training and development skills, with the ability to onboard, guide, and mentor volunteers in a structured way.Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and maintain clear, respectful dialogue with diverse volunteers.Candidates should possess community outreach and engagement skills to attract new volunteers and promote ORAS’s mission within relevant academic and professional communities.Relevant qualifications include strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and comfort working independently in a remote environment.Experience in academic, research, or educational settings is beneficial, as well as familiarity with online collaboration tools and basic project tracking.A bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., social sciences, education, management, or health sciences) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
