Project Engineer

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers will oversee and support a remote team of volunteers who contribute to ORAS’s research assistance services. This part-time remote role involves recruiting and onboarding volunteers, organizing their schedules, and assigning tasks aligned with their skills and availability. The coordinator will provide guidance and training, maintain clear communication channels, and foster a collaborative and respectful environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring volunteer performance, resolving issues, collecting feedback, and ensuring that volunteer activities are aligned with organizational standards and timelines. The role also includes contributing to outreach efforts to attract new volunteers and strengthen ORAS’s presence within academic and research communities.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training skills to organize, support, and develop a diverse volunteer team.Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to coordinate effectively, provide feedback, and build positive relationships with volunteers and stakeholders.Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach and engagement to help attract, retain, and motivate volunteers from academic and research communities.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple tasks, and use online collaboration tools confidently.Previous experience coordinating volunteers, student organizations, or community projects is highly beneficial.Familiarity with academic or research settings, particularly in medical or biological fields, is an advantage.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.
