At this level, the employee has an in-depth understanding of how drilling fluids and waste management systems influence each other. The employee may be capable of performing advanced troubleshooting on core technologies (i.e., shale shakers, centrifuges, solids control pumps, SUPA VAC, Skip & ship Equipment, Vertical dryers, Dewatering equipment, zero discharge systems equipment, fixation units, screw conveyors, and bulk systems /LMP).Key Responsibilities/Duties :- Quality & HSEComplies with all company and regulatory Quality, HSE, and IT standards and policiesWears all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and maintains required Quality & HSE certifications up to dateTakes proactive measures to eliminate safety hazards by performing an appropriate Risk Analysis (i.e. JSA) before each job or task.General Drilling ConceptsKnowledgeable regarding drilling rig types, rig components, rig component functions, drilling operations (i.e. drilling, tripping pipe, running casing, cementing, completions, etc.), and the drilling fluids circulation systemKnowledgeable regarding the drilling fluid system (i.e. drilling mud, its components, and each component function), the impact of low gravity solids (LGS), and primary techniques and systems used for drilling waste managementProfessional ExperienceDo a survey to install solids control material and equipment, beginning with a mud tank, shale shakers, high-dryer, desander, desilter, and centrifuge.Specify equipment, materials, ratings, and grades to be used in the drilling process.Provide technical support and audit during the drilling process.Provide field technical services to oil field customers.Supervise field service technicians and supervise staff in remote locations.Perform general training and technical assistance to customers.Handles special projects as assigned.Performing cost estimates and analysis.Operating, monitoring, and maintenance of all solids control equipment for offshore and onshore drilling rigs, dewatering sites, shop areas, and other oil & gas-related sites.Assisting in the severing, troubleshooting & installation of equipment as required.Rigging up, down, maintenance, and monitoring location equipment:(Fluid processing system, shale shakers, Mud cleaner, Desander, Desilter, all types of centrifuges, Degasser, Mud gas separator, Screw conveyors, Centrifugal pump, HIG-dryer, Jet mud mixer, Mud agitators, vacuum pumps / cutting transfer pumps, Mud tanks, Power Generators, air compressors, and All types of screens.)Run continuous tests on the solids and effluent discharge on both units, along with comparing the information with the Mud Engineer to ensure that the centrifuges are set for optimum performance and that the gravity percentage of the mud is within the bore tolerance.Attending pre-job safety meetings on location.expert with all safety rules and HSE on the rig, holding valid HSE certificate.Physical strength and ability sufficient to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods.Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.Make daily solids control report that covers all aspects of the drilling fluids over the previous day.Make all operations for dewatering, waste management, and filtration.ElectricalAdheres to Electrical Safety Guidelines & Lock Out/ Tag Out proceduresAble to explain proper grounding techniques and the risks associated with wiring motors for high and low-voltage electrical equipmentAble to assist with Advanced troubleshooting of electrical circuitry to maintain equipment in operational conditionReporting & TestingCollects and validates all critical data required to complete daily reportsAble to monitor, report, and maintain appropriate inventory at the well siteAble to perform fundamental drilling fluid testing and properly calibrate testing equipment as necessaryAble to track and manage API screen classifications and make appropriate screen recommendations based on the customer’s needs.Knowledgeable regarding hydro cyclone equipment properties (i.e. GPM per cone, feet of head required, unit labels, etc.)Knowledgeable regarding centrifuge equipment properties (i.e. G-Force, differential, GPM maximum, etc.)Able to perform all primary centrifuge calculations (i.e. G-Force, differential, discharge rate, weight differential, and retention time)Knowledgeable regarding the centrifuge operation when using weighted or un- weighted drilling fluid and the impact on the drilling fluid system when centrifuge adjustments are performedAble to perform a solids control pump installation without supervision and knowledgeable regarding solids control pump equipment properties (i.e. GPM, power required, drive type, etc.)Knowledgeable regarding screw conveyor equipment properties (i.e. tons per hour / capacities, etc.)Able to properly troubleshoot a screw conveyor without supervisionNeed to be competent in cutting collection equipment, operations, and safety.Able to troubleshoot equipment in cuttings collection operations.Able to operate and trouble shoot Verti-G Dryer equipment (i.e. g-force, differential, tons per hour maximum, etc.).Able to operate and troubleshoot Vacuum Systems equipment (i.e. maximum hg & temperature, system requirements, proper operations, fluids and relationship to equipment used for such fluidsExperience :- 10-15 years of relevant experience in Drilling Waste Management and Solids Control.
