The Project Engineer – Instrumentation is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing instrumentation activities throughout the complete EPC project lifecycle. The role covers engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, handover, and project close-out.The position ensures that instrumentation and E&I activities are completed safely, within the approved budget and schedule, and in compliance with contractual requirements, ADNOC specifications, HSE standards, quality requirements, company procedures, and recognised engineering practices.Responsibilities.Manage end-to-end instrumentation and E&I activities from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out.Review contracts, technical specifications, P&IDs, hook-up drawings, loop drawings, datasheets, vendor documents, and other engineering deliverables.Prepare and monitor project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, procurement plans, cost forecasts, KPIs, progress reports, and risk registers.Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, Construction, Commissioning, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.Supervise instrumentation installation, calibration, loop checking, SAT, functional testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and integration of DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, and SCADA systems.Monitor project progress, material availability, manpower utilisation, subcontractor performance, quality, productivity, HSE compliance, and resolution of technical or construction issues.Coordinate mechanical completion, walkdowns, punch clearance, as-built drawings, final dossiers, O&M manuals, handover packages, final acceptance, warranty activities, and project close-out.Act as the interface between the project site and head office to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or another relevant recognised engineering discipline.Minimum 10 years of project execution experience in the oil and gas industry.At least 5 years of experience working on ADNOC projects and familiar with ADNOC specifications, oil and gas engineering standards, project procedures, and HSE requirements.Strong experience in instrumentation engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover.Good knowledge of DCS, ESD, Fire and Gas, PLC, SCADA, control systems, electrical systems, and field instrumentation.Strong understanding of P&IDs, hook-up drawings, loop drawings, datasheets, specifications, control philosophies, and vendor documentation.Experience with pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments, control valves, analysers, MOVs, and associated field devices.Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, risk management, manpower planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project controls.Ability to prepare and review technical documents, method statements, construction procedures, technical queries, progress reports, KPIs, and variation documentation.Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve technical, construction, and interface issues.Ability to communicate confidently with clients, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.Safety-conscious, proactive, dependable, and capable of working under pressure.Flexible and adaptable to challenging onshore and offshore site conditions.Ability to manage multiple priorities and support different projects or business units as requiredTo express interest, please apply online, and we will contact suitable candidates shortly.
