Project Engineer(Railway Power Supply System)

About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and technically competent Project Engineer to support ongoing metro power supply system projects in Singapore.This role covers engineering design, procurement, and construction coordination of power supply and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.The position offers exposure to major rail infrastructure projects and collaboration with international and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Key Responsibilities1. Engineering & Technical SupportAssist in the review and coordination of electrical power supply system designs in compliance with local regulations and project standardsPrepare and submit technical documents including drawings, method statements, material submissions, and calculationsSupport engineering works related to substations, transformers, switchgear, rectifiers, HV/LV cables, SCADA, and earthing systemsWork closely with consultants and clients to address technical comments and ensure timely approvalsAssist in resolving technical and site-related issues during construction2. Site Installation & SupervisionSupervise on-site HV electrical installation works for railway projectsEnsure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirementsCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth progressConduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and WSH compliance3. Project Monitoring & CoordinationMonitor site progress and track against project schedulesPrepare daily and weekly progress reportsIdentify potential delays or technical challenges and escalate where necessaryAttend site meetings and coordinate with civil and system-wide contractors to ensure proper interface management4. Testing, Commissioning & HandoverSupport testing, energisation, and commissioning activitiesCoordinate trial operations and system power-on proceduresAssist in preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentationEnsure systems meet required performance and safety standards before handoverRequirementsDegree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum 3–5 years’ experience in metro, railway, LTA, or large scale electrical infrastructure projects (required)Good understanding of power distribution and/or traction power systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentationExperience in design coordination or interface management is an advantageAutoCAD knowledge is beneficial but not mandatoryGood communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skillsIndependent, responsible, and able to work in a fast paced project environmentSingaporean / WP / EP candidates are welcomeWhat We OfferCompetitive and negotiable salary packageExposure to major national railway and power system infrastructure projectsStructured career development and long term growth opportunitiesProfessional and collaborative work environment focused on safety and engineering excellenceAbout UsChina Railway Electrification Engineering Group Co., Ltd.
