Our client is seeking a Project / Framework Director to provide strategic leadership across complex nuclear projects and programmes. This permanent position offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, strengthen client relationships and support business growth within a highly regulated engineering and infrastructure environment. We're seeking people with a strong background within the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of complex projects and programmes, ensuring delivery against client objectives, programme outcomes and business prioritiesLead relationships with clients, delivery partners and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted adviser and senior point of contactIdentify and secure new opportunities within existing frameworks and client organisations, supporting account development and business growthLead the preparation of commercial proposals, pricing submissions and cost estimates in line with contractual, governance and framework requirementsProvide technical leadership and assurance, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with project objectivesCoordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, project management, design and delivery functionsDrive programme controls, governance, risk and opportunity management, including compliance with NEC4 contractual requirements and change control processesChampion BIM and Common Data Environment requirements, while mentoring project managers, design managers and technical teams and promoting continuous improvementKey Deliverables:Successful delivery of projects and programmes to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirementsStrong client satisfaction and the development of long-term client relationshipsIdentification and conversion of new business opportunities within existing and emerging marketsRobust pricing submissions, cost estimates and commercial proposals for complex programmesEffective management of programme risks, opportunities, governance and change processesSuccessful integration of multidisciplinary teams and compliance with contractual, regulatory and framework obligationsContinuous improvement in programme delivery performance, efficiency and innovationDevelopment of team capability through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing

Job Requirements

Significant experience in project, programme or framework management within the nuclear sectorDemonstrable success in developing client relationships, securing new work and expanding existing service offeringsStrong commercial acumen, including experience working with NEC4 contracts and managing change, risks and opportunitiesExtensive experience developing cost estimates, pricing strategies and commercial proposals for large, multidisciplinary projectsStrong programme and design management capability, with an understanding of governance, assurance and risk managementSound knowledge of Building Information Modelling and Common Data Environment requirementsExcellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levelsDegree qualification in engineering, construction, project management or a related discipline; professional accreditation or chartered status would be advantageousDesirable Experience:Leading major programmes within framework-based delivery environmentsSupporting business development, bid development and strategic growth initiativesProviding technical leadership and assurance within a specialist disciplineWorking in highly regulated environments with established contractual and governance requirementsThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project or Framework Director to shape major nuclear programmes, strengthen strategic client partnerships and contribute to the continued development of programme delivery capability.
