Project Manager📍 Chicagoland, IL🏗️ Award-Winning A/E/C Firm | Design-Build Construction | Local ProjectsI’m partnered with a nationally recognized Architecture, Engineering, and Construction firm that’s looking to add a Project Manager to its growing construction team in Illinois.What makes this opportunity different from a traditional GC is the company’s integrated design-build approach. With architecture, engineering, and construction expertise all under one roof, Project Managers are involved earlier in the process and have direct access to the teams designing and planning the projects they ultimately build.The company has a strong national presence along with a consistent backlog of work throughout Illinois, delivering projects across education, healthcare, municipal, commercial, and other institutional sectors.As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of projects from preconstruction through final turnover, working closely with internal design teams, field leadership, clients, and trade partners throughout the entire process.What You’ll Be Doing:Lead projects from preconstruction through construction and final closeoutManage project budgets, schedules, contracts, forecasting, and overall financial performanceCoordinate directly with in-house architects, engineers, and preconstruction teamsLead subcontractor buyout, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change managementPartner closely with Superintendents to drive successful field executionMaintain strong relationships with owners, clients, consultants, and trade partnersLead project meetings and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholdersMentor APMs and Project Engineers as the construction team continues to growWhat They’re Looking For:Project Manager experience with a General Contractor or Design-Build firmStrong commercial construction experienceEducation construction experience is a plus, but not requiredK-12, higher education, healthcare, municipal, commercial, or other institutional project experience welcomedExperience managing projects from preconstruction through closeoutStrong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, and contractsStrong communication and client-facing skillsSomeone who enjoys a collaborative environment where design and construction work closely togetherCompensation & Benefits:💰 $120K–$150K base salary💵 Competitive bonus opportunity🚗 Car allowance🏥 Comprehensive healthcare benefits🌴 Generous PTO☀️ Half-day Fridays🏗️ Strong and consistent Illinois project backlog🤝 Direct access to in-house Architecture, Engineering & Preconstruction teams📈 Long-term career progression within a nationally recognized organization📍 Diverse portfolio across multiple project sectorsIf you’re a Project Manager looking for more involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle and the opportunity to work within a true design-build environment, I’d love to tell you more.
