Project Manager (Client Side) | Abu Dhabi | Sterling Project Management ConsultancySterling PMC is a client-side project management and Employer's Representative practice working with developers, institutions and private clients across the UAE. We are expanding our Abu Dhabi delivery team on a multi tower residential programme on Al Reem Island and are looking for a Project Manager to join us.The roleReporting to the Senior Project Director, you will act as the Employer's Representative on site, protecting the client's commercial and programme position from concept through to handover. This is a client-side role, not a contractor role, so you will spend your time holding others to account rather than building the works yourself.What you will be doingManaging day to day delivery across live residential projects, including main contractor and consultant performanceChairing progress meetings, issuing minutes, and driving actions to closureReviewing and interrogating contractor programmes, progress claims, variations and EOT submissions with the planning and commercial teamsIssuing formal contractual correspondence under FIDIC and advising the client on entitlement and riskMonitoring quality, HSE and workmanship on site, and managing the snagging and handover processCoordinating authority approvals and NOCs with the relevant Abu Dhabi authoritiesProducing weekly and monthly reporting to the client, including dashboards, risk registers and escalation of critical issuesWhat we are looking forDegree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar8 years or more of delivery experience, with at least 5 years in the UAEHigh rise residential or mixed use experience is essentialWorking knowledge of FIDIC forms of contract and the ability to draft contractual correspondenceFamiliarity with Abu Dhabi authority processes (ADM, ADDC, Civil Defence, Estidama)Prior client-side or PMC experience is a strong advantageConfident communicator who can hold a room with a contractor and still keep the relationship intactUAE driving licenceMust be based or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
