They will oversee teams, resources, timelines, schedules, compliance, quality assurance, budgeting, financial management of projects and client interactions. The Projects Manager will demonstrate strong leadership skills while ensuring efficient project delivery. They will also participate in company initiatives and lead these initiatives to ensure team collaboration and fostering a creative work environment.The Projects Manager will plan and organise the design team and their daily activities, setting out a clear plan and project program of deliverables and resources to ensure deadlines are met for all studio projects.Duration: Full TimeWhat You’ll Do1. Project Management:Lead multiple concurrent interior design projects from start to finish.Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation.Regularly monitor project progress and proactively address any risks or issues.Implement effective strategies to overcome obstacles and ensure successful project completion.Manage all project programs and ensure these are up to date.2. Team Leadership:Manage teams of designers, architects and consultants with clear communication channels.Provide guidance on design concepts while fostering creativity within the team.Provide guidance on technical design and ensure quality of all packagesConduct regular team meetings to review progress and address concerns or obstacles.Lead and ensure involvement in company initiatives to foster a creative work environment.Ensure all project internal processes are adhered to including scheduling all internal KDR’s.Lead sustainable initiatives with the team and ensure these are adhered into projects.3. Client Collaboration:Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout all phases of the project.Understand client requirements thoroughly while effectively managing their expectations.Build strong relationships with clients by consistently delivering exceptional service.4. Budgeting & Cost Control:Develop accurate cost estimates based on client requirements and specifications where required.Monitor budget throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to financial targets.Employ efficient procurement strategies while maintaining quality standards.5. Quality Assurance & Documentation:Ensure compliance with KZC ISO standards for running and completing projects.Coordinate technical design reviews with consultants to translate designs into buildable solutions.Oversee documentation accuracy for all aspects of the project process.6. Staff Management & Performance EvaluationInterview potential new staff membersMonitor staff performance during review periodsEstablish KPIs for team membersProvide feedback on performance7. Consultant & Contractor Coordination:Work closely with consultants/suppliers and contractors during the design process for seamless coordination and execution of project deliverables.Ensure smooth coordination between various consultants and internal team and manage the process to ensure design work is coordinated.Coordinate effectively between the site team and off-site design/project teams, ensuring that all site information, design decisions, technical requirements, and project updates are clearly communicated and actioned.Review technical submittals and material submittals to ensure responses are promt with the internal teamReview shop drawings where required with the design teamReview compliances/deviations and any statutory compliance needsReview Method statements for installations and built documentationAnswer RFIs, resolve design conflicts and coordination issues raised by Contractor or consultants with the internal project teamProvide Revised drawings/schedules/sketches if required to facilitate work on site with the project teamMaintain active involvement during the post-contract and construction phases, including site coordination, site meetings, inspections, review of site conditions, and resolution of design and technical issues affecting project delivery.Review built mock ups at factories where required.8. Financial- Prepare necessary VO’s for projects where additional scope is required.- Follow up and manage with accounts team payments for projects.- Follow up with clients for payments where required.9. General- Lead by example and ensure the team is providing a professional level of service and consistently exhibiting Kristina Zanic Consultants Service Standard and Values10.Other ResponsibilitiesTrain and mentor staffParticipate in company initiatives and lead teams where necessary.Ensure full use of the filing system and databasesBe punctual and on time to commence workBe responsible for ensuring that a professional, neat and tidy appearance is portrayed at all times, including leading by example through maintaining high standards of morale and appearanceAssist and work together as part of a team, creating and maintaining a harmonious work environmentBe readily available at all times to deal with problems or concernsEnsure Company rules & procedures are followed in accordance with the Employee HandbookParticipate in Quarterly management workshops to present and report on companyQualifications & ExperienceMANDATORY: Proven post-contract experience on interior architecture/design projects, including construction-stage coordination, technical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, site queries, and project delivery through to completion.MANDATORY: Demonstrated hands-on site experience in interior architecture/design projects, with a strong understanding of construction, site execution, quality control, coordination, and resolving issues on site.MANDATORY: Proven experience coordinating site and off-site teams, ensuring clear communication and timely transfer of design, technical, programmed, and construction information between the studios, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams.A proven record of success in senior level general or commercial management, preferably in a related industryTen (10) years’ senior level experience of management of people and resourcesGraduate level of intellect preferably with a higher degree in a management discipline or a professional qualificationA wide knowledge of the design industryA good understanding of financial management, management principles and techniquesPolitical and presentational skills with an appreciation of the demands of conflicting interests and of meeting statutory requirementsA very high level of commercial awarenessExcellent communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsLanguages & SkillsExcellent English skills (written, reading, spoken)Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Autodesk and Adobe applicationsWorking knowledge of a construction programming softwareExcellent computer skills for design i.e. FF&E specification software, CAD, sketch-up, Photoshop and BIMAbility to work on tight deadlinesAbility to schedule and manage a design team as well as project managementWhy Join Us?At Kristina Zanic Consultants, you’ll be part of a collaborative and visionary team that values creativity, innovation, and excellence.
