This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.As a Project Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients while managing all aspects of project execution—from estimating and procurement to scheduling, cost control, and project closeout. What You'll DoProject ManagementLead construction projects from preconstruction through completionDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecastsCoordinate field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholdersMonitor project performance and proactively resolve issuesConduct site visits and ensure project milestones are achievedEstimating & PreconstructionPerform quantity takeoffs and estimate preparationSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotationsParticipate in bid reviews and proposal developmentIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsContract AdministrationManage and track RFIs, submittals, and plan revisionsOversee change order preparation and negotiationsEnsure accurate project documentation and reportingMonitor procurement activities and material deliveriesSafety & QualityPromote a culture of safety throughout all project phasesEnsure compliance with company policies and project requirementsSupport quality control initiatives and client satisfaction goalsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications5+ years of construction project management experience5+ years of experience managing RFIs, submittals, and plan revisions5+ years of experience reviewing and interpreting construction plans and specifications5+ years of experience with estimating and quantity takeoffsExperience managing change orders and project documentationValid driver's licenseAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screeningBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferredPreferred SkillsStrong leadership and team-building abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively interact with clients, government agencies, field personnel, and executive leadershipStrong organizational and multitasking capabilitiesProven problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to thrive under pressure and manage competing prioritiesSoftware ExperienceMicrosoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)HCSSProcoreBluebeamMicrosoft ProjectCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $90,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experienceIn addition, Coffman Excavation offers:Medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy benefitsPaid major holidaysVacation pay after six months of employment401(k) plan for eligible employeesLong-term career growth opportunities with a respected excavation contractorWhy Coffman Excavation?At Coffman Excavation, you'll have the opportunity to lead meaningful projects, work alongside talented construction professionals, and contribute to the continued growth of a well-established company.
