Employment Type: PermanentAbout the RoleWe are currently supporting a well-established organisation within the insurance sector with the appointment of an experienced Project Manager to join its transformation function.This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex business change initiatives, working across business and technology teams to deliver projects from initial concept through to implementation.The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a complex, fast-moving environment and will have the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders while maintaining strong control of day-to-day project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to implementation and closure.Establish clear objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables and governance.Build and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring progress, dependencies and key milestones are effectively managed.Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, technology, data and operational areas.Manage project budgets, resources, risks, issues and dependencies.Develop and maintain effective stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.Work closely with senior business stakeholders to drive decisions and maintain delivery momentum.Lead workshops, project meetings and governance sessions.Monitor project performance and provide clear reporting to senior leadership.Identify potential delivery challenges early and implement appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.Support business readiness and change activity to ensure successful implementation.Ensure projects deliver agreed business outcomes and measurable value.Contribute to continuous improvement across the wider project and transformation function.About YouWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong insurance background, ideally gained within a transformation, change or technology-enabled environment.You should have:Proven experience delivering complex business transformation projects within insurance.Strong knowledge of the London insurance market, with specialty insurance experience highly advantageous.Experience managing projects with multiple workstreams and stakeholders.Previous responsibility for significant project budgets and multi-month / multi-year delivery programmes.Experience working across business and technology teams, including Business Analysts, IT, Data and operational SMEs.Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.The ability to manage competing priorities, ambiguity and changing requirements.Excellent planning, organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.A hands-on approach to project delivery, with the ability to move between strategic oversight and detailed execution.DesirableExperience with Guidewire or similar insurance platforms.Previous experience within a consulting or professional services environment.Background in business analysis, process improvement or wider change disciplines.Understanding of emerging digital and AI capabilities within financial services.Relevant project/change management qualifications such as PRINCE2, Agile or Scrum.Insurance qualifications such as CII.
