Position SummaryThe Stainless-Steel Project Manager is responsible for managing stainless-steel fabrication projects from order acceptance through final shipment. This position serves as the primary link between customers, engineering, purchasing, production, quality, and shipping to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer specifications.The Project Manager takes ownership of project schedules, material requirements, costs, customer communication, drawing revisions, and production priorities while proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact delivery or profitability.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementManage assigned stainless-steel projects from kickoff through completion and shipment.Review purchase orders, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and delivery requirements.Establish project schedules, milestones, and required completion dates.Conduct project kickoff meetings with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Shipping.Maintain accurate project status and communicate priorities throughout the organization.Identify schedule, material, engineering, or production risks before they impact customer commitments.Coordinate and document customer-requested changes and change orders.Stainless Steel Fabrication CoordinationCoordinate production of stainless-steel ductwork, fittings, transitions, elbows, dampers, and other fabricated components utilizing CAD software.Work closely with production supervisors to establish fabrication priorities.Review drawings and fabrication requirements for completeness and manufacturability.Work closely with procurement for the sourcing of product and materials.Ensure correct stainless-steel grades, gauges, finishes, and material specifications are utilized.Coordinate outside processing and subcontracted fabrication when required.Scheduling & On-Time DeliveryMaintain a detailed schedule for each assigned project.Monitor engineering releases, material availability, production progress, and shipping dates.Identify critical-path items and take corrective action when schedules are at risk.Communicate schedule changes promptly to customers and internal stakeholders.Coordinate expedited material or production activities when necessary to protect customer delivery dates.Customer ManagementServe as a primary point of contact for assigned projects.VIRON INTERNATIONAL | JOB DESCRIPTIONViron International
