Project Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing Location: Fairfax, Vermont | On-siteSalary: $90,000–$115,000Help Drive Projects That Keep Aircraft Flying We’re partnering with an established aerospace manufacturer that designs and produces precision fuel measurement technology used in demanding aviation applications. They’re looking for a Project Manager who enjoys being close to the action—working directly with customers, engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and leadership to take projects from initial concept through successful delivery.This isn’t a role where you’ll simply update schedules and sit in meetings. You’ll have real ownership of your projects, serve as a key point of contact for customers, help technical teams navigate challenges, and make sure priorities stay on track.If you’re a self-starter who enjoys a smaller, collaborative environment where you can make decisions, solve problems, and see the direct impact of your work, this could be a great opportunity. What You’ll Do Own projects from initial planning and design through implementation, production, delivery, and close-out.Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and keeping them informed throughout the project lifecycle.Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and other areas of the business.Develop and maintain project plans, master schedules, budgets, milestones, and cost reports.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer expectations.Lead project meetings, technical reviews, customer updates, and internal discussions.Work closely with engineering teams throughout the design and development process and help manage the transition into production.Evaluate customer proposals and support quoting, bids, and proposal development.Coordinate with suppliers and supply chain partners to support project requirements.Identify project risks, anticipate potential delays or issues, and develop solutions before they impact the customer.Communicate changes, escalations, and priorities clearly to both internal teams and customers.Support financial planning, contracts, logistics, and supply chain activities associated with assigned projects.Prepare project documentation, lessons learned, and final close-out reporting.Partner with Business Development and leadership to strengthen customer relationships and support future opportunities.Identify ways to improve project execution, communication, and internal processes.What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.5+ years of project management experience within a manufacturing environment.Experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.Comfortable working directly with customers and taking ownership of the customer relationship throughout a project.Ability to work effectively with technical teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.Experience developing and managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.Understanding of supply chain, suppliers, quoting/bidding, contracts, and financial management.Proven ability to manage several projects and competing priorities at once.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent communication skills with the confidence to lead meetings and navigate difficult conversations.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions without needing constant direction.Comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change and not every answer is immediately available.PMP certification is a plus, but not required.U.S. citizenship required.The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here You don’t need to come from a huge corporate project management organization.
