Project Manager – Drone Operations Project

Microavia is a leader in the development and manufacturing of innovative drones, located in the Silicon Oasis area of Dubai, UAE. We are committed to creating the technologies of the future, ensuring high quality and functionality of our products.In MICROAVIA we are developing a drone-in-a-box solution for critical infrastructure & perimeter surveillance. The heart of the system is server-side software that puts together drones, landing stations, client computers, and other devices. Users have full control over any drone connected to the system, including live video streaming. Operation of the system is highly automated, server software controls all operations: performing flights according to schedule, battery swap, preflight checks, missions uploading, downloading high resolution data after flight, and many other necessary things. A typical setup may count up to 100 drones-in-a-box.We develop all mechanics, electronics, on-board and ground software ourselves, which allows us to effectively integrate all components with each other and quickly solve issues and implement new features.We use a wide range of modern technologies and programming languages in our work: C++17, Python, Golang, JavaScript, Typescript, WebGL, GStreamer, and WebRTC. Embedded platforms are STM32, NVIDIA Jetson Nano/Orin NX.We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a client-based drone operations project. The role involves managing the full cycle of service delivery — from RnD customization coordination to production deployment and procurement teams oversee, coordination of the communication between the client and internal teams and reporting to the company management.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day project operations, ensuring smooth execution of projects.Coordinate project timelines with procurement and production requirements.Maintain communication with the client regarding project development and reporting — ensuring regular updates are provided both to the client and to management.Ensure all operations comply with project standards.Oversee logistics related to drone transportation, maintenance, and readiness.Monitor project KPIs, prepare weekly reports, and escalate operational or technical issues when necessary.Collaborate closely with technical and engineering teams to address customization tasks, maintenance, firmware updates, and performance optimization.Manage documentation and permits required for flights and site access.Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and professional execution.RequirementsProject Management certification is a must (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).Fluent EnglishProven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in aviation, technology, or field operations. Strong understanding of drone technology or willingness to quickly learn operational aspects.Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with ability to manage multiple stakeholders.Solid communication and reporting abilities in English.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.Preferred QualitiesProactive, structured, and results-oriented.Comfortable working in a dynamic field environment.Strong sense of responsibility and client focus.
